I watched the interview live and immediately knew the video would blow up. He's the talk of the town today.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

I cannot help it, I really love this guy.
I always have, ever since he was in Coming To America:

Love his plain talk and no PC bull.

Interesting that his last name is the same
as Jon Benet who should have been rescued.

It's now come out that Charles spent two or three seperate stints in the pokey for domestic violence. The last offense was in 2003. Sure, he's paid his dues and what not, but the fact should probably be footnoted.

Prior to this knowledge, I invited him over to my house, via social media, for ribs and salsa music. We'll see if he takes me up on my offer.

      What a refreshing interview!

This guy is amazing, no putting on airs for the public or cameras. I'd love to attend a block party in his hood.

Ok, I'll invite him to mine then.

This was an amazing story - he acted like it was such a simple thing to do because it was the right thing to do. I wish that more people had this attitude.

More people do. You just don't hear about it every day because it doesn't fit the agenda.

There is a reason why people like me go about their daily life armed.. and it isn't because we are "paranoid" or "tin foil hat wearers"

I would have done the same exact thing, regardless of if that loser was still at home.

If I were ever to see some shit like that going on, where some woman is frantically screaming from a door/window/whatever, begging someone, anyone to help them get out.. you can bet your last dollar that I'm stepping in to get them out, contact the authorities, and keep the perpetrator at the scene until they arrive.

Unfortunately not everyone feels the same way that I do tho.

But trust me, there ARE millions of us good guys out there, even though you may not hear about us all the time.

We are always around, and always ready to do what needs to be done to save another person. Cops are NOT the only people who are willing to put their lives on the line to save another human being.

However, I guess you could call this "full disclosure" - I am seriously considering becoming a LEO.

So some people could say I only feel that way because I'm considering becoming an officer.. however, my response to that argument would be that is incorrect.

I have always been willing & able to do what is needed to protect or help other people, and I've never been in law enforcement before.

I'm simply considering it because I get very tired/bored of working online, I enjoy helping people, and I love the outdoors.

Plus, I get bored easily when you have to do the same old thing day in & day out. With a job like that, you never know what each day will bring.

So a job like that would be awesome to me.

As much as I'd like to say Rob is wrong, he's not.

Think of the second worst place to be in Detroit proper. That's akin to where Mr. Ramsey lives.

However, you can come over to my place if Charles takes me up on my offer for ribs and salsa music.

(Considering the subject matter, that might sound a little creepy. Your husband is welcome, too.)

Who's That Guru... I am encouraged to hear it and now that I think of it, you're right. I was a military spouse for a long time and people in that community are very helpful and tough. I am back in my home town... Our neighbor knows my dad has a bad back and when it would snow he'd plow us out and then get a little embarrassed when we'd thank him. Had a flat tire on monday and someone stopped to help. My church is in a bad area and there was a shooting.., one of the parish members ran outside to see if he could help (a belt as a tourniquet can save a life). The people of Boston amazed me after the bombing and law enforcement... If I really stop to think, I can find goodness.

          LOL Dan!

I didn't take it that way at all and of course we have already established that your wife and I would get along great. So I'll take you up on that!

Oh, and Yikes! I'm sure I'll stay away from his hood...far, far away!
