What did you guys think about iron man?
Those Marvel guys really humanize Tony Stark, it almost feels as if the movie is actually real.
I heard mixed feelings about the 3d version, did anyone see it in 3d?

Kickass movie I must say. Some amazing 3D shots by tony junior. The story is not too good as of part 1 but the special effects are outstanding. A must watch movie after the avengers.

    My 4 stars for it!

Iron Man is my favorite avenger and he's the coolest and I am sure most people will agree. I liked the first one better though but this movie is still a must-see and I'd be sad if I haven't seen it yet.

I was very disappointment in it. It looked great but the storyline was Sh*t, was suppose to be more of a tragedy instead of a joke every 5 min. Plus they really messed up The Mandarin! This coming from a die hard Iron Man fan.

I guess i was able to enjoy Iron Man 3 b/c Im not much of a DIE HARD iron man fan.
I've actually only gotten into superheroes because of the marvel movies... after a long hiatus away from all things television and entertainment.
Still not pushed to read the endless comics out there though...

anyway, iron man 3 kicked some serious boom-boom.

Spoiler warning!!!! Don't read this if you still haven't watched it! Hmmm, it might be ok, l don't give away very much?

Yep, l tend to agree, the botanist, (Geneticist, etc) tended to bring the party down a bit. It was an interesting idea, but the execution was lacking. Maybe Stark ending up in the battlefield type scenario, might have worked better?

It was the same in TRON legacy, great idea to work from and they stuffed it up with the organic, self repairing human things, Arrrrrggggg!

Robocop had the right idea, as did alien, build on your strengths, and don't p**** the concept away by introducing some organic BS. Although l have to admit Robocop was getting pretty crappy at the end!

All things considered a great movie, but not as good as the first!

I wouldn't go near 3D again! I went to see toy story 3, or 4 last one??? And after half and hour, wished l hadn't, enough said.

PS stay til the end of the credits, stark says a few words, pretty funny!

I plan on seeing this tomorrow. I have loved both of the iron man movies, though, and am thrilled there is a third. I planned on avoiding 3D though. Is that wise or stupid in your opinions?

Iron Man 3 wasn't shot in 3D , post-converted 3D process often results in poor visuals and jarring depth mistakes.

3D doesn't bring anything extra to Iron Man 3, believe me

I saw it a couple weeks ago. Not in 3D though.

The story line is really basic but most of the fight scenes were really well done. My favorite scenes are when Tony fights without his suit.

Iron Man 3 is the latest hit movies starring with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). In this movie he tries to destroy those who have tried to destroy him and really it's an intelligent movie with plenty of big-bang action.

      Thanks

No, but I saw Star Trek (the new one, "Into Darkness"?) in 3D!
I thought the movie itself was very good - I give it 4 stars - but the 3D was distracting.
I am realizing that 3D is often not the best way to see a movie. Except for Avatar I find most 3D distracting. Another good use of 3D was "Hugo".

I haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet but I really want to see it. Didn't think that Iron Man 2 was that good though.

I thought Iron Man 3 was very well done. Robert Downey JR has a specific character that he does magnificently. The snarky, intelligent, glib, kind of jerky guy. And he played it very well here.

        Certainly better than #2.

The Mandarin treatment really bothered some die hard fans. But I thought Ben Kingsley was fantastic. Even the kid fit the story well.

If you aren't a real Iron Man fan...you'll like the movie. Every criticism I've read comes from devoted fans.

I really liked it. Very witty.

Can't wait for Captain America 2, Thor 2, Avengers 2, and of course, the Man Of Steel. The granddaddy of them all.

Did you guys know that Super Hero comics were not popular in the 1950's?
They almost didn't come back. Comics at the time were mostly Archie, westerns, and monster comics.

Then a lot of characters were brought back, given new origins, and became popular again.

I remember buying Iron Man #1. As well as Silver Surfer #1 and Daredevil #4.

        Weird, digging up those memories.
