Default How Much Did Google Pay For "The Internship"

I have a feeling this movie was created back when that facebook movie came out.

Do you think Google paid a studio to create that movie?

I mean I'll see it, I like Vince Vaughn, but it seems like they just wanted a movie about their company too.

Google goes Hollywood with 'The Internship' | Reuters

"In an unusual collaboration, the Internet giant was closely involved with the film, a $58 million Fox production which features two middle-aged watch salesmen who are determined to get a job at Google.

...and Vice President of Marketing Lorraine Twohill oversaw the project (for Google)."

According to the article, it was Vince Vaughn who initiated the idea and contact with Google after seeing a 60 Minutes episode featuring Google interns.

This sounds more likely than any relationship to the Facebook movie being made.
