Can anyone let me know pros and cons of the models?

O.K This is a coincidence since I was going to ask kind of the same. I want to know especially which one is better for reading without causing eye strain or tiredness

I just bought myself the Kindle Fire HD. So far I like it a lot. I read constantly and thus far I have no complaints regarding eye strain. I also grabbed the bigger version (8.9 inch vs. 7 inch).

I had the regular Kindle Reader for more than a year and no complaints there either.

I chose to upgrade to the Fire because you can do other things with it. I picked up a USB keyboard for it and have an Office Suite.

I have no complaints at all.

But kindle fire is a Tablet than an ebook reader. I think it might hurt eyes and cause of headache for long time readers. M I correct?

Everyone is different. But it doesn't bother my eyes. And my eyes are not perfect. There are many adjustments you can make to the reader to accommodate your eyes - brightness and color of the background, the font type, font size, etc.

I only bought the Kindle Fire about 3 weeks ago and I have already finished 4 books on it

However, the reader is very good as well. If you only want a reader and don't need the other tablet functions, then by all means, grab the reader. I have read a few dozen books on that one - no complaints.

If you're looking for something that you can read on that can also double as a tablet, the 8.9" model is cool. I actually have one of those for sell if anyone is interested.

I have the basic model - no complaints, but I will probably upgrade to the Paperwhite soon for the extra screen contrast.
