My Mother's Charity Site Fell Apart

My mother had someone else taking care of her site, but that person recently took on a gig that wouldn't allow for good Internet access. So, she asked me to add a gallery to display new photos she had. I went to the site to discover pages missing, display galleries gone, lots of 404 links. Spent 3 hours fixing it. I asked my mother what happened, and she had no clue that this all transpired. I just went to the site and it had been switched to another theme. It was less easy to navigate, harder to read. How incredibly annoying. Definitely a too many cooks spoil the stew, especially when one of the cooks doesn't know that there's another cook there messing with the recipes.

Sounds like you need to change the password. You may be able to restore the site from the backups. If you or your mother don't have them, the host may.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Changing the password was the first thing I did, lol. I did manage to restore it, fix the links etc.
