I was looking under a stand in my office and saw a skinny book underneath the bottom shelf. Wondering what the title was, I said, "What is this?" My son, 3, answered, "It's a book, daddy."

He's doing ok for sure, but it doesn't take a genius to do that.

You made me smile. What did you say to your son then?

I just laughed. We were building Lego stuff together then, and that's what we continued doing. I came upon the book when I was looking for a Lego piece that slipped underneath the stand.

TB - when I was in Germany with my then husband, I worked in the day care center for some extra cash. There was a kid that was 2 1/2 and had some outrageous language skills. He was coloring with some felt tip pens in a coloring book and I said to him "wow, those are some nice crayons". He looked at me like I was a complete idiot and said "they aren't crayons, they're felt tip pens". If only these kids knew how stupid they can make us feel sometimes. LOL.
