HELP me please

Please forgive my desperation in this post, and I apologize for my lack of involvement with the forum in the past few months. I have been trying to make a go of things online, and it is amazing where the time goes.

Today I am back at the forum in a last attempt to raise some capital to go home! I know this is probably not the way to ask people for help, but I have no other choice right now. In fact I am prepared to offer almost anything in return for a little interim help with my situation.

Today would have been my grandmothers 92nd birthday, and for the past week since she had a severe stroke I have been trying to gather enough money to fly back home to see her. It has been 4 long years since my fathers funeral, that I last saw my grandmother, and almost daily since that horrible time, she has asked for me. I feel like such a bad person for not heeding her call sooner!
At 10pm last night my grandmother passed away. I was too late! I am not going to go into how thins makes me feel, as I don’t think I would be able to finish the post, suffice to say, it doesn’t feel very good.

I am short around $550USD to fly home for the funeral and to say y goodbyes, and I am at a loss as to how I am going to raise this money in 48 hours. I am asking for help! This is something I do not do normally. I would be the first to help others, but the last to accept it, but now I am desperate.

I am not sure if my status in the forum is worthy of even asking, but I have to try. My mother is elderly now herself, (well nearing 70) and she can’t afford to lend me anything to get home, but I know how much it would mean to her for me to fly home and be with her in this difficult time.
I have skills that I could help people with article writing or graphic design, or even assist with some basic web design. I could offer you my EZYTRAK software program, or I could consider any other request you may have, if you would be kind enough to help me out at this time. It also goes without mention that I would be eternally grateful for any assistance you may provide.

This site and the people here, once saved me from the brink of bankruptcy, through great advice and fellowship and for that I am grateful. If it wasn’t for that kindness in August of last year, I would not have made it through. I did lose my home, and assets, but I struggled on raising my son, in an effort to make an impact online, and I am starting to see now that the effort may have been worth it. Just not in enough time to see my grandma before she passed away.

After sustaining a serious shoulder injury in January, I have lost my main income as well, which hasn’t helped, but I have managed, until now. If you could find it in your heart in these tough times, to help me through this, I would appreciate it beyond words. Your skills are article writing, graphic design and web design?

What about offering up a WSO offering your services?

What are your rates?

Also you can check out the freelance sites and bid on projects. Textbroker.com, elance.com, guru.com, rentacoder.com or even offer ur services on DP though most ppl there are cheap and u prob. wouldn't get much.

I remember chatting with you a while ago, I think when I finished the first phase of the ezytrak system. How are you?

Thankyou for your advice and suggestions. Home for me is New Zealand. I have been in Australia for 13 years now.

I have not completed a lot of commercial web design although have built some basic sites for friends. My articles are always unique and usually contain more than 350-500 words. Some samples of how I write are up on my latest site www.sites4sale.aceslegacy.com.

The graphics I have been doing recently, and at the moment I am charging $10 per graphic. My samples are available here; www.graphicdesign.aceslegacy.com.

I will certainly follow your suggestions and get started on setting up some work requests, etc today. My urgency comes from knowing that the funeral will probably take place Tuesday or Wednesday. My mother is dealing with the funeral director today, so will know more about this tomorrow I guess.

Thank you Gareth for taking the time to write. I appreciate it. I missed my dads passing as well (4 years ago) but did manage to get back to NZ for the funeral.

Thankyou Dave, I appreciate your stopping by! Unfortunately I havent been able to raise anything, so I dont think I will get there now. The funeral is Wednesday morning, and there are only two flights available tomorrow if I am able to raise the funds to go.

I have managed to raise $120 from selling a website, so that helped.
