WOW I can't believe Aaron Hernandez is charged with murder. Athletes with millions of dollars sometimes don't have a brain their head. It just boggles my mind-guys like Plaxico Burress and Aaron Hernandez can't be any dumber.
#aaron hernandez #charged with murder
  • I don't understand much of the story yet but I'm sure we will be inundated with the story for months since it's the summer doldrums. As a Jets fan I am happy the Patriots dropped him but as a human I am not happy he is in jail or that another person is dead.

The Pats getting Tebow is starting to make sense now.

Just kidding, I still can't figure that one out.

If anyone has the ability to find and exploit Tebow's strengths, it's Belichick. The kid's got a lot of raw talent as a player, IMO. Sure, he's got plenty of room for improvement as a QB, but I think there are a few other positions that he would absolutely excel at right now. And who knows... he may even turn into a NFL caliber QB one day with the proper coaching/training (not gonna hold my breath on that one, lol... but you never know). At any rate, it will be interesting to see how Belichick uses him.

That's true Brandon. Belichick knows what he is doing. I may not have it figured out, but that's not really important

Don't be surprised if Tebow plays some TE. He might be the #3 QB, and play some H back where he has the option to pass, maybe some wildcat, and now that Hernandez is gone, there is a better chance that Tebow sees the field more. He could be a good weapon, the Jets wasted him.

Comparing Burress and Hernandez is a bit of a stretch.

Burress had a weapon he was carrying accidentally go off on him while in a club, it looks like what Hernandez did is a little different....just sayin'....

Still very DUMB on Burress' part...but very different than what someone like Hernandez or Rae Carruth or OJ Simpson (allegedly) or Carlton Dodson (the Baylor basketball player who murdered his teammate) did.

Josh Mcdaniels was Denver's head coach and was the one that drafted Tebow in the first round. Mcdaniels is now the Pats offensive coordinator.

Tebow's problem isn't his talent, or lack of throwing talent, it's the circus his fans create. Playing behind Brady, you'd have to think even Teboners will reaize that Tebow should be a backup.

Plus, Tebow is my pick as the last player that would murder someone.

As far as Hernandez, what a sad story.

Mr. Hernandeze joins the infamous list of athletes who got themselves in some sort of legal trouble - with people dying.

Sadly he won't be the last.

It's interesting that employers now dump those who are accused of a crime rather than suspend them until a verdict has been reached.

Fascinating in this case is the amount of information being released by the prosecutor. Details of evidence are usually not just dumped to the media as in this case.

Kay, I absolutely agree with you. What has happened to the "presumption of innocence until proven guilty". The press, nfl blogs, fans and general public will have him convicted long before he comes to trial.

Suspicion of 1st degree murder, is just exactly that: Suspicion.

It does appear to me the Prosecution is trying to win the game by trying him in the court of public opinion. I sincerely hope the assigned judge slaps a gag order on both sides.

It appears he's been bad for a long time and the Pats certainly saw signs before this.
The NFL won't let him contact with anyone else until the trial is over, which may be
      a year.

I know a woman who was a Resident Assistant in a dorm at college very famous for it's basketball program. She contends she heard rapes and beatings going on behind those locked doors and the Campus police and admin would not do a thing to those athletes.

So, my take is that it's probably about time he was caught.

It drives me crazy to see people with this much talent throw it all away on stupid decisions. Although it seems there's more to the story - ESPN is saying the police have picked up another suspect today. Oh yeah, first post (woot woot!)!!
