Looks like I'll be riding down to Bethel in Aug.
On Sunday, August 18 the ashes of music legend Richie Havens will be scattered across Max Yasgur's farm - the field where the Woodstock festival took place in 1969, and today the site of Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

Have you seen a show there yet? It's a nice venue.

Not yet Mike. I was looking at their schedule though and there are a few I wouldn't mind seeing, like these guys.

Saw Dylan there last year. The venue was great. So was the atmosphere. Dylan? Not so much...while never much in the vocals department, it has deteriorated quite a bit. But hey - he's in his 70's

I'm looking forward to checking the place out.
I was never much of a Dylan fan. The man could write some lyrics though. When he was folk I avoided listening to him, just not a folk music fan. When he went electric I got into his back up band and still listen to them. In fact I'm listening to this on youtube now. "The Band 1994-4-22 Complete Show" It's an hour long so I won't post the video.

Thom - assuming you know already, but read in the paper today that even though this event is free, tickets are required to attend... saw it on the info page in your link as well... should be a good time.

      You assumed right Mike
My friend that I ride with is most likely going down with me.
We figure it will be a nice Sunday ride.
He's the person I went down to Woodstock with.
He's also one hell of a Bass player with around 30 years experience
