Ive actually thought about this... sad.

I would not tell anyone except for my significant other.

I would hold a massive dinner party, fly all my close family and friends in from all over the world.

I'd announce my win in front of them all then tell them that under their chairs (Oprah style) that there is an envelope with a figure written on it, I would give them that figure for being my friend or family member and tell them that they should never ask me for money again.

Id buy a few houses for safe keeping maybe 12 or so, rent those b*tches out. Buy a big ass power boat and travel the seas city to city, land to land, the end.

I would pass out since l don't play, although my Mother may get me one!!! Sigh :rolleyes:

She keeps telling me "you have to be in it to win it" etc, and l usually say, "you have to be in it, to have a one in 13 million chance of winning it"!!!!

Better odd's, through hard work online!

But if l had a spare billion, a rover to Mars, may be on my short list! Hmmm.

  IF I played....and I only do so once in a blue moon. Probably not even $20 in a year's time. So winning something would be a real fluke for the amount I play.

I play maybe 3-4 times a year. IF by some miracle I was to win big I would pay off the mortgages of my parents and sister, buy my own house, buy a few other things, have a holiday and do other nice things for myself.

I would save around 50% of it and if I had money after that, I would help out good friends.

I'd split it equally with my two sons - with the agreement the grandkids would not come into big money until they were 30 or so. I wouldn't want money to interfere with the goals and dreams those kids have and with what they can accomplish on their own.

I wouldn't quit the job, because my job is awesome and more like holiday than work, but I would travel more. I would go to Antartica and Australia live here and there. That would be cool.

I once had a lottery ticket, which I took as "change" in a shop where they were out of £1 coins in the till. I didn't win anything. At all. Not even "three numbers" (which is £10, I think). It really put me off, and I've never bought another one.

I think it's weird (and probably "wrong") that they have prizes like £20 Million or whatever it is, rather than 1,000 prizes of £20,000 each, say (or even 100 prizes of £200,000 each). But this is a minority perspective, apparently.

I always thought that would be a better way to do it too. The only reason I can think of as to why they don't do that, is because they may think a lot fewer people would play so they wouldn't take in as much money.

People are good at forgetting there are millions of others in the same race (go figure!), so a single, bigger prize is more appealing to them. Conversely, a lot of smaller prizes just makes them realize there must be others in the race, too, because obviously they can only win one prize, and probably that's all of a sudden not so appealing.

It's just a theory of mine.

Around here we're preparing for the biggest prize in the history of our national lottery. It seems nobody won in a long, long time, and everyone is at the edge of their seat. I keep telling them they have much better chances at walking on water, but they never listen. :rolleyes:

Depends on the amount of my winnings. If I hit for at least $50 Million, first thing I'd do is sit patiently until the fed raises interest rates because that would cause my money to go even further. After that, I'm putting $10 million away for trading capital. Imagine the returns if I could get in the Forex market w/ that much capital! $5 million will be spent buying my dream home and other toys I want. Another $10 million will be invested in interest earning assets such as bonds, treasuries and undervalued growth stocks w/ high dividends. The rest....I have no clue, so it's probably best to also put it in some sort of vehicle that would protect it against inflation.

I've wondered the same thing. The recent award of over 500 million seems obscene. The odds are ridiculous - but the odds would be better if you gave away 50 prizes of 10 million each.

Seems to me the lack of huge prizes might be balanced in people's minds by the improved odds of multiple prizes.

I buy five tickets twice a year when I visit up north where they sell them. I'm such a big gambler (not).

If I would hit some huge Jackpot then I would make a big celebration of it and invest the rest into business - both online and offline.

I believe that the worst thing to do in that case is to spend all the money and go broke. Unfortunately many lottery winners take that route...

I would employ 100 workers, and buy every "make money" WSO, and have each one implement the strategy, and kill off the ones who don't make any money in a hunger games style battle. Then I would throw a "Warrior Forum Party" but you can only get in if your post count is 100 or more.

I would do exactly what I'm doing now - living in Southeast Asia on an island, a few blocks from a quiet beach, and traveling when I can.

Only I'd be doing it a lot better.

Besides that I would set myself up some stable investments to ensure that no matter what happened I'd still be okay, put my mom up in a humble but comfortable house so she didn't have to rent anymore, and pay for my brother's shoulder operation.

Never thought about it. Our syndicate has been buying thousands of tickets a month and as such we know how hard it is to get the big one.
Perhaps I will just buy more tickets because I love playing the lottery. I work hard, I got spare cash and in a syndicate I got more money to spare or lose or win.
