Massive Android flaw lets hackers 'take over' and 'control' 99% of Android devices (updated)

... recently discovered a vulnerability in Android that makes any Android device released in the last four years vulnerable to hackers who can read your data, get your passwords, and control any function of your phone, including sending texts, making phone calls, or turning on the camera.

That's almost 900 million Android devices globally.
This is not good news for me... and a couple of other people.

    Android is now used for.... Phones, Tablets, microcontrollers, some small computing devices, possbly chrome books, and WHO KNOWS what else! MOST are networked to the internet in some way.

      It is INCREDIBLE how popular it is. Perhaps it is because it is small, has a nice GUI, has some basic apps, has a lot of apps available, is apparently free, and is supported on most cheap CPUs made today. In most cases, Linux is better, but it is probably bigger.
