I know, I know. All the lovers of little dogs are going how cruel, how cruel.

Of course, I have never seen this dog. And since it appears to be alive, it has never visited us without an invitation.

I think it's sweet he got a smiley face and has an owner willing to pay a vet to fix him up.

He/she looks like my little girl, Minnie. You can't visit her either without an invitation. As we don't know what the problem is we have to pass on any comment except to say, as Kay did, glad the little one is on the mend.

When I was a lot younger, we had a beagle that was very interested in checking out the roof of our two-storey home.

In fact, the fact that she could get up there at all was amazing.

One day she must have seen something on the ground, and jumped down to get at it... of course, broke one of her legs.

She got a cast very similar to this... but after a month or so she was fine... no pain later in life from the injury that we noticed (she lived to be 14... eventually put her down because her heart was about to fail).

It's amazing how impulsive puppies can be...
