Anyone here like pens? (Yes, PENS!)

I've always been the type of guy who does the first draft of copy or an ad on paper... so I've always used a pen...

I recently got bitten by the bug when a client sent me a fountain pen and ink as a thank you for a particular job...

I began collecting and I really do like writing with fountain pens now. I love the different nibs and how the pen feels.

It's pretty much a solid example of what marketing truly is and what gets people to "buy"-- the emotion and character traits that are created by effective marketing.

So, I wanted to check and see who else here likes pens (fountain or otherwise, I have a few nice rollerballs, after all!)... do you collect? Favorite brands? Favorite inks? etc?

Pictures, etc?

There have to be a few pen lovers here!

I LOVE pens. I really like the Cross - slim, black. Nice. classy pen that feels real good in my hand.

I've had a Parker. It was pretty but didn't feel good. I'm just not real handy with thick pens. Also had one made from that purple wood - can't remember from where, India or Australia I think. It was too bad it was made as poorly as it was (can't remember the brand). It broke pretty quickly for a $60 pen.

      I love pens too!

I have certain ones that I deem as my "writing pens" and everybody knows, even the grand kids, that no one touches my writing pens.

I like the weightier ones that have the cush around where your fingers go and have several brands of those. You can't carry those around in your purse though as little dirties stick to the cush. So the ones I carry in my purse are the pink Pentel R.S.V.P. medium.

I'm having way too much fun here.

And yes, after the lady screams "My cheeks are all aflame now!"......there is usually a SLORF! soon afterwards.

Actually I buy a gross at a time of ball point pens that have a soft rubber grip.
They have our business name on them.

But collect pens? No. Although some customers ask for one of ours.

Terra; I'll be honest with you, I've paid hookers to scream that to me.

There are creams (I've heard) that may help.

If you'll note, I did say aflame as opposed to inflamed. There is a big difference! :p

I have just reconfirmed to my self that my brain has never really evolved past the 5th grade...

I mentally installed an " i" between the "n" and the "s" in every post and thoroughly amused myself.

The problem was to arrange s-i-n-p-e into a word that describes the part of the body that is the most useful when completely erect.

It depends on what I'm writing. These days I do most of my writing directly on the old desktop or laptop pc. However, if I'm out and about and get an idea, I like to jot it down. I also keep several old-school notebooks that I use for quick notes. The only thing I almost always hand write first is the poetry that I write whenever i am inspired to do so.
