Haha, the Segway. I still don't know why they invented that. It always looked to me like some kind of disability tool for people who could stand up but not walk.

Wow, the http://blog.laptopmag.com/worst-gadg...l-time?slide=7 is really ugly.

People forget that aesthetics is a big deal in business.

Well, Laptopmag should talk. Their POORLY designed site meant I will not bother to read the whole list.

You know...... HP really didn't ever create ANY successful product! At least that I can recall.

They TRIED a PC. It was a DISASTER! IRONIC, since one of their engineers once offered them THE WHOLE APPLE BUSINESS, less than like 5 years earlier, and they turned him down!!!!!! Their next big attempt was an OEM version of CANONS printer. They probably should have made it epson compatible with an expansion bay and postscript. They could have taken maybe TWICE the market share! They then tried the IBM PC! And that tablet? Yeah, I remember predicting WEBOS would be a flop!

And things like the twitter client? YIKES!!!!!

It's actually really interesting to look at these "flops". Sure, they never captured public attention. The Segway, notably, was far too ambitious and didn't connect/sync with people's daily lives and uses.

But I don't laugh at these failures, I salute them. These are the failures that allow us to have our smartphones and apps today. I hope we have hundreds more of these flops, because they are stepping stones to the real awesome stuff we don't even realize we're going to have.

The segway was too awkward and expensive. It's MAIN use, oddly, was apparently for security and tours!
