Firefox 3 - lightening!

Hey guys,

Have you all noticed how FAST Firefox 3 is?

I know that FF's usual updates make minor changes that you hardly notice, but as soon as FF3 came in for me, my internet connection and browser loading is faster than anything I've experienced on any PC.

I don't know how they do it, but it's amazing.

Anyone else notice this?

It's sad to say, but what a nice feeling when you can rocket through webpages, open and close your entire browser in seconds etc...it changes your mood for the day - no more tiresome waiting, lol!

Sorry to admit but here in the states we are way behind the times. Almost everywhere else on Earth has faster internet service than the U.S. I should move to Japan. They don't have to wait for their pages to change.

Firefox 3 is pretty cool. I didn't upgrade for awhile until the addons all worked, but great now they do.

What kind of connection speed are you getting and what do they get in Japan?

I get about 300k per second on a cable connection and that seems fast enough. That's about a gig an hour. My hard drive isn't big enough to do more than that.

You know you can more than one profile in firefox.

One loaded up with all the plugins and another without for speed.

What are the plugins in FF?
        Is it the addons?

I have as little of these as possible.
Only the ones that stop the little moving things in the windows.
I also have the encrypted keyboard scrambler. That's it.

Yeah ad ons! I use many FireBug, Google Toolbar, FireFTP, Manta tool bar for work etc... they add up and slow down the browser!

yeah, I agree. too many plugins/addons were clogging my FF's arteries too! I now only use a couple of essential ones and it works even faster.

I just love the new design of FF though - it's such a cool browser.

The problem is , theres too many useful addons , something is hard to keep it to the minimum .
