That was nice to see. My sister once did something like that to a dude who tried to get fresh with her at a party.

LOL. Loved it. More and more women are getting this attitude (and training to go with it). It gets old being a victim just because some Neanderthal thinks you're an easy target. It's getting so that a guy has to be stupid to attack a woman because he assumes they are helpless. Consider this idiot "schooled".

Safer move. Guys usually are expecting the jewels kick. You miss, and you've got not just a criminal on your hands, but a very pissed off criminal. LMAO.

The only thing that would have made it better is if the cops came and took him away after he was whooped.

A very, very key point is that she landed several blows. You should not stop with one.

Notice she was swinging the bag towards his face, then kicking the crotch while his hands were up, then kicking his nose. Note also that he ends up holding his nose - not his crotch -while he was rolling around.

A woman I know was a deputy sheriff and worked in a jail. She was trained that the nose is usually the best pain point as there can be a delay in the pain from a blow to the crotch. And, as HeySal pointed out, it's easy to miss the pain point in the crotch area and you can have an angrier attacker on your hands. Also, because women's hands are usually smaller, a roll of dimes in the fist is better for women.

Good for this woman - or anybody -to train and remember the training and the strategy.

After seeing her inflict so many powerful strikes to that guy, I did find myself getting kind of concerned. I hope that the cell phone is all right.

Good one, the punch to the nose was the best, and also the one that got him on the ground, (well the kick, helped).

Yep, morons should learn that you only need some sharp blows to the neck or nose, to incapacitate someone, regardless of how bulky they are!

Although going for the neck can kill someone, (restrict breathing) so the nose is safer!

This girl had some real training. Most "self defense" classes for women are nearly useless. They give you confidence, but little else. I watched a couple short classes, and was horrified at the bad advice given.

This girl knew where to hit, in what order, and she was fast. Years of training.

I don't know what she was wearing, but that last side kick wasn't learned in a mail order course.

I did. After my kick, he was on the ground gasping for breath. I walked away.

Does this mean, "Damn I'm good!"?

Terra; Seriously? No. It means "Damn I'm lucky".

Always assume you missed with the first punch. In 8 years of serious Kung Fu training, one thing that was drilled into us was that you hit them rapidly until they stop moving.

Another thing we learned was to never fight unless your safety was at stake.
So, really? I probably would have let this guy go with my cell phone.

Because even at my advanced years, I would assume that if I get into an altercation? I'm going to prison.

In the video, if that girl would have missed with her first punch, and he would have hit her? It could have caused serious damage.

Good for her...but lucky for her this guy wasn't prepared for a fight. Most bullies are cowards.

And what she did showed skill...courage...and luck.

By the way, the image isn't real clear, but it looked to me like she hit this guy's ears with both cupped hands. Brutally effective. A knees anywhere in the center line of your torso will put most men down all by itself. I was impressed.

I can accept being damn lucky.

But in my case, I was protecting more than a cell phone. I was protecting my um, body. Way back when I was living in the suburbs of Houston Texas, I was on my way back from walking to the store and walking down the long road that lead back to the town houses where I lived. This dude jumped out of the tall weeds in the undeveloped part of the subdivision just behind the town house model saying things that would probably make even you blush.

I didn't think, I just went into autopilot for survival. Natural instinct and adrenaline kicked in and so did my flying roundhouse kick to the Solar Plexus. I heard a crack and down he went. He was down on the pavement and gasping for breath.

I didn't stick around to try and land more blows, I hightailed it back to my townhouse and called the police. Turns out he was a wanted rapist.

So yeah, I'll go with, "Damn, I'm lucky", but I still think that "Damn, I'm good" works too.

You had no choice. And you did the right thing.

One mistake most people make is to "square off". Men tend to do it more. They think this is going to be a boxing match. It isn't. They think that if they get hit a few times, that they can call "time out" or give up. Nope.

Anyone insane enough to try to cause you physical harm, has to be stopped.

The police detectives told me the same thing, that I did the right thing. I really didn't think about if what I was doing was the right thing or not, I just did it before I really even thought about it. Instinct maybe..well probably.

Good for you. Everyone has an overriding instinct in stress situations.

                Some freeze.
                Some attack
                Some cower and run

It isn't a reflection on them as a person. We are all made differently. You attacked, which is the best response.

I used to freeze, and it took a few years of serious training to overcome it.
                It wasn't fun.

Maybe. But that side kick at the end hit hard enough to send her backwards.

The image is blurry (Did she box his ears? Maybe) but I think she really kicked him at the end. She reacted just like you would if you kicked someone who really outweighed you.

But....who knows. Everyone wins. Ken got to share a good video. I got to brag about my Kung Fu days. Terra got to scare us with her vicious attack on a poor helpless masher. Thunderbird got to use the words "Ballet clothes" in a sentence....

So I thought it was a pretty good day.

I had to look up masher, lol!

"A man who molests women" He tried and failed!

        And

"A man who makes often unwelcome advances to women." The only thing he advanced to was lying flat on his back with the wind knocked out of him and a cracked sternum. Poor? Who knows? Helpless? Apparently!
