The Conjuring

I'm not going to see that movie. There are scenes in it that come directly out of nightmares I've had when I was a kid.

It looks like a masterpiece of horror. I can't wait to read the reviews.

Watching that movie trailer, it's really well crafted low budget effects.

The movie plays on the mainstream things that most people had as a fear at some point in their life, such as something under the bed, something in the closet, something in the basement, etc... while your in a dark house.

I think I'll wait for the DVD.

It tickles me to a degree as I can see You Yukon are tickled by scary stuff - you see horror as comedy? Or are you tickled because you know how icky everyone is feeling lol - (like i know guys that kill spiders for women secretly get a kick out of how freaked out they are when they beg for intervention).

At first the video really reminded me of the hidden object games i play every day/years. They R typically designed to have very macabre themes - some would say 'dark'.

Some of the game artists are using some live people that are digitized in their story lines here and there - and just in flashes you can see they are real people.

So of course the Conjured video looks like it is more like a movie - and I see how the dynamic is much scarier with humans (non-digitized) - too close to reality.

nothing is more scary than reality. Y I try not to watch the news too often.

... but anyway I think you would get a kick out of bigfish.com games - beautiful artwork - old mansions and all the beautiful things of royalty etc., but other than that everything is already dead - even the dolls are dead, lol. lots of broken dolls, tortured dolls, etc., many haunted antique hospitals with horrible medical equipment; and dungeons with dirty dishes + moving cockroaches. (the stuff of nightmares for sure); Many spiders, a few in every game or mini game. Scary demons and horrible monsters *(human and otherwise)

Sell.

and that's the only reason for the theme - not much to do with the games and mini games at all, except to hide the objects hidden everywhere in all those 'worlds'.

(btw fyi, most have a Light Knight that conquers Evil in the story line).

B sure to let us know when somebody sees the Conjuring movie - what it is like (if it is as scary as it looks here) - (i usually don't see anything until it is on cable - sometimes 20 years later in syndication. lol. too true.)

Why do they release films like this in the summer and sometimes at Christmas, but never at Halloween?

It does look pretty scary, however...
