So I read admins sticky about spammers and reporting it with the triangle, and also said I could "Warn" a person doing something wrong myself and it lasts for 1 hour.......

Here is my confusion

If I see a member "Over posting" and I go and give him an infraction ... 1. How does he know he got one? 2. What are the consequences? and 3. Do mods Keep an eye on who and why people are getting/giving.....

The report was for spam thats a No brainer...

But Somebody Please tell me the Low down on the infractions Thanks

Now on a side note, Can Somebody Point me to a thread or Post or Something that explains the benefits of Joining the WAR ROOM? I Think its a good deal, Just want to know Most or All "The Perks"

Thanks For the help!

I would advise ignoring the "infraction" issue altogether. All it does it cause bad feelings as you are telling someone else to shut up. An infraction can be reversed by anyone and also expires after a time.

If I see a member "Over posting"
Not sure what you mean by that. Either a post is within the forum rules or it isn't. You may not agree with what someone posts or how often they post - but it's only reportable if it violates the forum rules.

The little triangle "report" button is important here. You don't need to write an explanation - just click it and write "spam" and it will go straight to mods.

As for the War Room - use the search button and look up the dozens of threads explaining the value of the War Room.

    Define over posting?
Actually if you hit the infraction button it tells you what it is to be used for.
    Same with Report Post button.
I suggest you read the stickies at the top of every forum and sub forum you participate in.
Next I suggest you learn to use the seqrch function,as there are literally hundreds of threads probably on each question you anded and third ,joining the War Room is a no brainer.
    Good Luck.

Over Posting - "Person makes Post and Mod Deletes it ... Person Make A Variation Post and MOD Deletes it... Now Person rewords and Makes the SAME Post, It lasted longer before it got deleted, but was Still deleted."

In all fairness I warned in the second post that, There are Rules and they didn't listen, I was just curious since the post wasn't spam ... It just didn't belong where it was posted.

I Found the FAQ on the War room so That's all Clear, lol

Can the report button be used for other than spam? or is it spam specific? I Like it here, just want to help out

Not only for spam. When you click on the report triangle, you are given a description of the things you can report.

This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.

Best is to just report it - and not answer it or issue warnings. Nothing to gain in feeding the trolls.

One thing you may not know: If several of us report a post or thread it will be removed from the forum until a mod takes a look at it.

Important to remember... reporting is a cleanup function - not a way to get even with someone or argue with a certain point of view or point out incorrect answers to questions. We want to help the moderators - not make more work for them.
