Happy Mothers Day (Mom and Dad you are missed)

Hi all Warriors:

If it is okay to have a thread not about marketing but:
1) Happy Mothers Day
2) Don't let 1 day on a calender be the only one that you pick up the phone or send a gift.

Both my parents have passed away and there isn't a day I don't think about them.

Enjoy every moment together because parents should live forever.

Once again my apologies for the 1st time in 500 or so posts not talking about marketing.

Enjoy the day!

    Happy Mothers Day!

and I agree with Craig. don't let 1 day on the calendar be the only one where we pick up the phone or send a gift. I thank my mum for showering me with her unconditional love. She has brought me up to what I have become. So, try to show our parents the love that we have for them for bringing us up.

      Hi Christina:

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I am sorry you lost your mom and so young. My sister and I were fortunate if you can call it that our parents lived to the life expectancy but it was devastating to see their life end together. They were married 53 years and never apart for a moment. Mom passed away first and dad about 3.5 years later.

My sister and I made dad a promise he would never be alone. Even the last 6 months of his life when he saw his own house only 3 days, my sister and I slept on the floor of the hospital or the rehab facilities so he would never be by himself.

With all my faults I am glad that was one thing I could look back on and know how imperative it was.

Thanks to everyone for reading and not being angry I made my first non marketing thread .

    Happy Mother's Day!

My mom passed away when I was 16. It was hard.

So, call your mom now and tell her that you love her before it's too late.

    Happy Mother's Day!

I'll be giving my mom a shout on Skype Out. Always freaks here out when we tell her we're talking to her through the computer.

And, we're taking Rieko's mom out for Mexican in Osaka tonight. Mmmmm, Margueritas.

Happy Mother's Day all other moms.

My mom is also no longer with me except in spirit and every day I miss not really knowing her. Wish I had taken the time to be in present time with her instead of off somewhere else.

Hope all who have a special woman around choose to cherish every second and God bless all mothers.

      Happy Mothers Day!

I too lost both of my parents. I miss them terribly.

To all the wonderful mothers out there, may your day be filled with joy and love.

My mom died when I was 30 so I had her throughout my growing up years.
I still think of her - miss her sometimes - and could really still use her wisdom now and again.

One day she took me shopping. She wanted to get me an early birthday present (an new suit) for a special interview I had.
After shopping we went for pie and coffee and mom said something that shocked me - don't remember the exact words -- but it was clear that she thought I would look down on her after getting my college degree, which she never had.

I couldn't believe it - the woman was a genius in financial affairs and had turned my father's income into quite a healthy pot. She kept a clean home and was well respected and loved in the community. She held social events and dinner parties for my father who's career as a School administrator depended on the people of the community liking and trusting him. She kept me alive when the doctors couldn't - sitting up nights with me when I had severe asthma attacks...rubbing my back so I could breath.

So I pointed all of this out to her and told her how I would never in my life be half the person she was.

It was the last time I saw her alive. I thank God every time I think about her that I got the chance to say those things to her.

This Mother's day - don't just tell your Mom you love her..........tell her what she means to you and her family. You never know when it will be your last chance.

      Hi Hey Sal:

Hope all is well. Thanks for a great story.

The lesson I hope reaches even 1 person today is when you have an argument with a family member you may never see them again. Make sure every communication ends on a positive note. Don't ever say to yourself years later "If only I....."

Thanks for hearing me out and have the greatest of days!
