Hi I've been looking at the marketplace in Clickbank. Whenever I see a product and click on the sales page to view it I get a new window but it's blank! Is it something to do with the setting on my computer? If so, what can I do to resolve this problem? Mary |

Are you using Firefox? Do you have scripts enabled? Though I wouldn't have thought Clickbank needed Javascript enabled. Mmmm. If using IE do you have your security settings too high and are blocking all cookies? If CB can't leave a cookie maybe it won't open the page. Have you got a popup blocker operating? Sometimes they can cause problems especially if the CB page won't load without first loading a popup. Dunno what else to suggest. |

Thanks Phnx - I've got Firefox and IE. Even when I only had IE this was happening so it's probably nothing to do with firefox. On IE I do use a popup blocker so I'll check that and my security settings. Hopefully one of those will solve the problem. Mary |

If you have privacy settings in your security suite, be sure to check these. It happened to me that I could not see half of my banners on my own site but everyone else could see them. I found I had checked a box that said 'don't show me advertisements on sites I visit' and as soon as I unchecke it I could see my banners. You may also wish to clear your cache* before you retry and if neither of those works, try a registry cleaner - free download ccleaner.com Then reboot your computer. *cache - either IE or FF: Tools, internet options/delete cookies, TEMP files, and history. * ccleaner - run Windows scan and then Registry cleaner. Reboot. |

Hi I've changed my security settings and popup blocker and added clickbank to a safe list. None of that worked though. Patrician - I don't mind deleting cookies and temp files but I don't want to delete the history - it doesn't loook as if I can single that out. I also ran a registry cleaner not too long ago but I'll give it another go as I've added new software. Now when I get a blank page, in the address bar it says - about:blank There's no problem when I click to get a hoplink but that's not much use if I can't see any other info about a product. Mary Any other ideas? |

Problem Resolved! Instead of IE I used Firefox to open clickbank and I don't have any problems with it. Now that I think back I had some problems before with IE when I updated the version of it so it could be something to do with the version of IE I have on my computer. Thanks for all your help. Mary |

Glad you got it sorted, Mary. I think the choice to delete some things in the cache, but not others came with IE version 7. (which could also be the issue if you are running versions previous to 7) In fact anyone who is running IE prior to 7 is taking huge risks with their PC security. Get the free upgrade ASAP. They are rolling out IE8 and it is even more secure (have to keep up with FF) but I wouldn't do it until they debug it for a few months... Yeh, I did forget to mention as well that Windows has security itself and for instance a Firewall (in the control panel). If your regular security includes a Firewall then you may want to disable the Windows Firewall. One is plenty, two is max. At any rate when you have issues that is one thing to try - even if all you have is the one in Windows - try disabling it temporarily. ... and finally it would have been okay to leave the history actually - however IMHO I would not let wanting to keep it stop you from deleting your cache - Just save the ones you need in Favorites (or just upgrade to V7). I run the cleaner all the time and I can't believe in just a few days how many crap adware cookies end up on my PC. Nothing malicious but it just irritates me that with all my security and etc everyplace I go seems to have a million 'marketing spy' cookies. Anyway, so glad you got through, Mary. |
