What if you were from the future?

was thinking to myself today...

If went back in time when i was 15, (i'm 28 right now) would i know how to get rich, even with present time knowledge?

Obviously i could get a cash in had job, then bet all my wages on a dead cert win at say like a football match that i know who wins etc.

But, i know if i tried having a go at "inventing" google, but i don't think i could make it work even if i would be the innovator for the idea.

I would perhaps do some trades, buy many shares into apple,google etc

Or maybe i can rinse domain names dictionary. For example sex.com was sold for nearly a million dollars.

Do you reckon you will be rich if you went back in time?

Like i think its harder than you expect, i could invent facebook but probably wont be able to make it work like how Zuckerburg did.

    If you knew what time you would be visiting it would be easy to get rich. Inventing Google and Facebook would be too complicated. Just memorize some winning lotto numbers, bet on sports, buy Apple or Facebook stock low or, as you said, buy up valuable domain names.

    You don't wanna mess with the past. Suppose you did something that cost the life of yourself or your future spouse, etc. Then you wouldn't be there to go back and straighten it back out. Best course of action is to watch for opportunities in the future and position yourself to take advantage of them.

      If I could go back in time and talk to myself when I was maybe 21 years old...

      I would simply tell myself how to avoid a few major mistakes I've made.

      Tell myself to not eat so much.

      But play old lottery numbers?

      What would I be without the struggle of living? Nothing. A lump.

      That isn't much of a plan, I would think.

      And it's a silly thought experiment..like "What super power would you like?"

    I actually wanted to buy shares in Apple! But I was waiting for it to drop back to $14, from $17, and never bought. I even bought 1000oz of silver, but I sold it when it didn't even go up. 8-( Had I kept it until today, I would get over $11,000 PROFIT! My father bought me some shares, not even 100 ;D, and today, it is worth a BUNDLE! As for the 1000 shares of apple I wanted to buy? WHAT if I paid the $17,000 for them? OK, I am crying at this! They have come down a LOT from their hghs. TODAY, I would only have made.....$3,625,800 if I sold them!(each share THEN has split 8:1 at this point!). That is ONLY profit, and ONLY on the apple shares! Of course, I COULD sell 1000 shares for $455,350 and keep the other 7000 for a rainy day.

    Messing up with the past doesn't only involve you but the people you are connected with as well so it's dangerous and I don't think it's a risk worthy to take even if we will know how to get rich effectively. It disrupts time so the chain reaction will be drastic.
