Im not a touch screen guy and im mostly on my com more than my phone.

And i type faster than i press a touch screen.

So i was searching for a way to use whatsapp to connect with frens.

I came across
Then i was thinking, are they safe?

They are 3rd party platforms/software/device.

Do they store info like your content of your msges?

How do they make money if its free?

surely there is a catch??

I have looked into some of these, usually you can try it for a limited time, or it lacks certain functions.

I tried one, and the free version was so slow, it was virtually useless, but the small cost sped it up, and it wasn't too bad.

Most of the time you have to log on before remote viewing is possible, but no doubt this is a crooks paradise, but Norton as well as others would pick up any unauthorized access to your PC!

So do you still use any in particular?

And how much are you paying for it?

    I did this before.

But WhatsApp only allows one account per device. So if you use it on your computer you can't use it on your phone. I prefer to use it on my phone.

      Or apple id?

Cos apple id can be created agn and agn?

    I mean, one phone number.

I don't remember all the technical details, I did it awhile ago. But all I remember is that if you want to use it on your computer, you have to uninstall it from your phone. Maybe there is a way around it but I am not sure.

Phew, used it almost a year ago, or my programmer used it, so l had to get an account.

I am pretty sure it was this one....

      https://secure.logmein.com/

And as l said the free version is crap, but the paid one, ($5 if l remember correctly) was more than adequate!

I think that Skype has something as well?

PS make sure you have a decent antivirus, or identity safe type system in place and it shouldn't pose any security risks.

You can get Norton on Ebay for $15, much cheaper than retail. But this is for AU residents, but l am sure you can find one that delivers to your country!

Quite welcome Newbieee, and another thing, if you can't find any cheap Nortons for 2013, then do this little trick...

Buy last years or even the year before, which will be a lot cheaper and before the final purchase happens they should automatically update you to 2013.

I always order past years, since it is cheaper, and always get a current version before final checkout on Ebay!

Decided to try out Bluestacks 1st since i researched and they are a silicon valley company.

Had problems installing, there was an option to email them regarding the problem.

Emailed, 2 weeks passed, no reply.

I've used BlueStacks before, but I'm currently using Genymotion to run Android apps on my PC. It's a complete Android VM running in VirtualBox. It has an easy installer, and from my experience it's much faster than BlueStacks.

Out of interest seeing as the last person commented on this in 2013, how long did it take to find this so you could put your link in it?

We cannot be 100% sure if the device is absolutely safe or not, whether it is free or not. One the second hand whatsapp is not completely free and I guess there are more than enough users that are using paid services from whatsapp to keep it running.

WhatsApp is one of the best messaging apps around the world. You have to install BlueStacks in your computer than access more than one application from computer such as whatsapp etc.
