Who would have thunk it?

For Sale: Positive Pregnancy Tests

I certainly hope there wasn't a WSO promoting this.

No doubt some guys have been scammed out of money or into marriage. What a sorry way to gain money or a husband.

This is so wrong, on so many levels!!

All I can say is ... wow. What are people thinking? Are some women really this desperate??

Gosh, I won my husband over with pasta and garlic! :p

Better. My guess is that you have a far better chance of keeping one for the long-term, that way, too. I wouldn't give the "won over with a fraudulent pregnancy test" ones nearly so much chance?

      Dang, that's despicable!

Fiendish minds keep getting more and more devious!

I wish that every woman who hopes to trick a man with one of those ends up alone and miserable, that the stunt backfires and they end up chasing the men away instead. I also hope all guys ask for a second opinion when confronted with a positive test.

No relationship based on deception and trickery is going to end well anyway, but I hate that men who want to do the right thing could be hurt and disillusioned.

Would be funny if the guy somehow found out and responded with a fake positive tuberculosis test...

I like the way you think . . . even if it is a little scary.

Why would they BUY stuff like this. I'm sure there is a cheaper way
(some household chemical or the cat urine) that would give a false
positive. Although I don't sanction deception by any means.

I do not think that women selling positive pregnancy tests to other women is quite good. This is probably ultimately a destructive thing which may create more distrust and disharmony in society.

Could this be used for other things like welfare or an instant "opt out" of something like military or some work related job they don't want or is it just men themselves that get ripped on this one? Can you even imagine living with a guy daily that you had to blackmail into being with you? Sounds like a sequel to Stephen King's Misery. How many sociopaths do we have in this country anyway?

These tests are NOT accurate, and meant to be a GUIDE! Welfare should use a DOCTOR to determine PRENATAL care! In fact, such care is THROUGH the doctor! And infants and children require a BIRTH CERTIFICATE(at least it is SUPPOSED TO), and there was a law several decades ago requiring 5yo to get SSNs! The military would do blood tests. HECK, employers don't even trust DIY urinetests, and the labs have strict policies to GREATLY limit fraud.

As for men, laws REQUIRE them to listen to the woman! If she tells the truth, has a kid, and they didn't listen, they are in TROUBLE! If she lies, the law DEMANDS that NOBODY tell him the truth! It is part of HIPAA! Health Information Privacy

There is no point in him requiring a doctor to check, etc... because he can be denied access.

Women have tried this ploy A LOT! Look at maurey povich! Men find LONG AFTER the fact that they were lied to. By definition, I think there are a LOT of sociopaths in the world!

That would NEVER work! The DNA profiles wouldn't line up.

But MAN, I just realized something! The OLD blood type paternity test wouldn't work with me very well. Unless the child were O, or had a gene for O, and the mother didn't, I could be the father.

Facts are probably not a primary consideration in this type of situation.

            I'm just saying.

"There's civil liability, and there could be criminal liability as well," said legal analyst Paul Henderson. "That person that's selling the test, if they are participating as part of that scam, then they would be liable as well."

Those caught using the tests in a fraudulent matter are not likely to go to jail, but could be sued.
