    The nuclear regulation authority said the radiation comprised mostly beta rays that could be blocked by aluminium foil, unlike more penetrative gamma rays.
    SEE? How many times have I told you folks that calling someone a tinfoil hatter is NOT an insult.

    Anyway - I'm glad they are going for the ice wall and hope it helps until they can figure out some safe means -- or safer, at least, of dealing with this crisis.

      The first one is because what you said is funny and the second one is that they spelled aluminum wrong in the article.

        Believe it or not, aluminium, pronounced alum-in-ee-um is the BRITISH way of spelling the american word aluminum, pronounced aluminum. So technically, it ISN'T wrong.
