The animusic creations are awesome. In theory they are possible, but that would be even more work than creating an animation. This is the first one I ever saw...

Yeah, some things just DON'T scale up that well. By scale, I mean the number of notes, etc... You would need room for motors to control some things, and the solenoids wouldn't be that precise. Nice concept, but it just isn't that easy. When they can do it, it will probably first appear in artificial hands, arms, etc...
