How do I blur sensitive data in camtasia screen cast videos?

Hello people,

First of all I'd like to apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this question, buy, hey, I'm new in the forum!

My question is rather simple, in fact some veterans could even have a laugh. I'm delving into camtasia 6 screencast, in fact I posted a few videos using TubeMogul, but I don't know how to blur some sensitive info I don't want to reveal to my video viewers, such as usernames, etc. Does anyone know if this can be done directly from camtasia, or do I need some other video editing software? If so, do you recommend one?

Thanks a lot

Hey Scott check this out I asked the same question in Digital Point Forum and someone's answered already. It turned out to be easier than expected ;D

What you need to do is open up your project an role through the video and pause it where you want to start editing anything you don't want to have revealed to your viewers. And in order to blur out any sensitive material or information here's how to do it using Camtasia Studio V6:

Click on "Callouts" and the click the "Assist Me" button to bring up the scroll-down type of callout options. What you are looking for is the "Blur Callouts" type. Click on that insert the callout in the designated place, role the video and see how things look before you produce the final cut.

      It'll all work out!

      JJ
