I think it was one of the best series I have ever watched.
I am going to miss it.

Any other Breaking Bad fans?

What did you think of the ending?

Thanks for the spoiler in your title? Awesome.

Oh, a TV series! We don't have a TV. I was thinking, say what, that would make the great physicist more than 110 years old.

Actually the title isn't a spoiler....he is dead...or is he?

I was a great show. Better than most of the slop that is shown these days.

    Loved. The. Show.

I'm also a Sons of Anarchy fan.

What amazes me is that the creators of both these shows developed characters I'd normally want to bury under the jailhouse - meth dealers/murderers, gang gun runners/murderers, etc.

And yet I am ROOTING for them! I hate when they get hurt, etc. LOL! No clue how they manage that, but they do!

I understand this I think. Good writers write characters that are human in every way both good and bad. I do love me some complicated characters! Sons is my favorite show.

I came in here to tell the OP off for posting a spoiler in the thread title no less, but apparently he didn't -- or maybe he did. I haven't seen the last episode yet, so I don't know. Notwithstanding, it was and still is an unwise thing to do. "RIP Breaking Bad" would have been the smart thing to write.

    All salute King Heisenberg.

Cancer didn't kill him...the Nazi's couldn't...The only one big enough to kill him was himself!

    Felina.
    Fe-Iron- blood
    Li-Lithium-sweat
    Na-Sodium-tears

He died in the lab, doing what he loved. What a great ending to such a great show.
Like Ken said, it's right there with Sopranos and The Wire, probably even higher.

My take is that it came from this:

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican girl.
      Night-time would find me in Rosa's cantina;
Music would play and Felina would whirl.

Blacker than night were the eyes of Felina,
Wicked and evil while casting a spell.
      My love was deep for this Mexican maiden;
I was in love but in vain, I could tell.

      Rest of the lyrics here:

El Paso Lyrics - Marty Robbins. Album: Gunfighter Ballads & Trail Songs

Read that in his (Marty's) voice. Brings me back to crappy dive bars
full of smoke, and getting my tail handed to me on the pool table
by old timers and pipefitters missing half their fingers... good times.

The brilliance of the writers is that Felina works on (at least) three levels. First, it's an anagram of 'finale', then there's the Marty Robbins lyric. And it also breaks down as Fe (iron - in blood), Li (lithium - which is used as a catalyst in the manufacture of crystal meth) and Na (sodium - salt as in tears). So Blood, Meth and Tears (a pun on blood, sweat and tears).

      And that's just the title.

      What a show.

Hands down, this series was one of the most satisfying entertainment and artistic experiences of my life.

The care and extraordinary attention to detail that went into crafting each episode can teach us all something about how we approach our own endeavors.

Somebody on FB gave away Marty Robbins a few hours before the show aired, even with the knowledge though I have to admit I didn't get the connection for a while.
