I'm a distributor of Jeunesse global (network marketing company in antiaging industry) and now I'm off to Thailand to attend Int' Expo there. =)

Any recommendation what tourism objects to see in Thailand?

A nice tropical country

Go to small towns and ask the people there what is good to see. That's where you find the "off-the-map" stuff that most don't ever hear of.

Have a good time, whatever you end up doing.

That's exactly what my brother and I did when we went to Cancun many years ago. It was very interesting.

You could always dine at one of the CABBAGES & CONDOMS chain of restaurants which are located throughout Thailand. The one at Tanarai Road, Chiang Rai, was the original which started it all off, and is located right in the middle of nowhere.

The restaurant chain is an avid supporter of family planning. The owner, Khun Mechai Viravaidya (a former Thai Minister of Health), is something of a local celebrity and became renowned for visiting brothels and other places of illicit entertainment dishing out free condoms. Because of this a condom is now referred to locally as a ‘Mechai’.

Cabbages are a staple part of the diet in Thailand and the condoms bit of the name is obviously due to his benevolent nature in dishing out the johnnies. Such is the popularity of this unusual establishment (which it must be said serves excellent food) that it has now mushroomed into a thriving chain with outlets throughout Thailand, and even a few overseas. They all raise funds for the ‘Population & Community Development Association’, the country’s family planning program.

The main restaurant is the one located in Bangkok in a garden setting which is reached via a pleasant lane. Here, all diners get a condom instead of an after-dinner mint and there are amusing signs and references to condoms and family planning throughout, including a huge copy of the famous ‘Mona Lisa’ holding a packet of pills. The walls are awash with posters and ornamentation extolling the virtues of safe-sex, and a sign states that condoms should be available as freely as vegetables in a market.

The gift shop next door has condom shaped key chains, flowers, and all manner of other phallic related objects, or perhaps you could buy a copy of ‘From Condoms to Cabbages’ - the life story of Mechai, Thailand’s remarkable Mr Condom.

Another great place to visit is THE MILLION YEARS STONE PARK & PATTAYA CROCODILE FARM at 22/1 Moo 1, Nongplalai, Banglamung, Chonburi 20150, Pattaya City.

There are thousands of saltwater and freshwater crocodiles in natural surroundings here making it the largest population of crocs in the country. Furthermore, they actually breed them here and you can even witness many daily shows featuring men fighting barehanded with adult crocodiles. In addition, see the biggest freshwater fish in the world; the giant catfish, shoals of Snakehead fish of the Amazon River, elephants, tigers, lions, bears and much more.

The Park is located on a 70 acre plot of land just a 15 minutes drive from Pattaya and is a striking attraction that is almost a living museum. Founded by Khun Suan Phanomwattanakul, a businessman with a penchant for nature, beauty and preservation, the Park also has a superb collection of Thai-style trained trees that are over 200 years old, and petrified trees that are over 100 million years old. Items of curiosity interest include the largest waterfall in Thailand, rocks of grotesque shapes weighing up to 75 tons each, and many more attractions of a bizarre nature.

The condom restaurant is what got me! hahaha. a really good concept, so unorthodox and interesting. I want to go to Thailand with friends as well. Maybe next year we can go there. I'll visit this place.

Been living in Bangkok for 4 months now. I wonder if there's a mastermind group here, there should be given how many bloggers there are here!

Well if you go to Bangkok then the nightlife is legendary, but if it's too tame for you here then go to Pattaya which is even more wild.

Last night I partied hard then went to bed at 8 am just as the Chinese tourists were leaving my hotel to go sightseeing!

Incidentally, the ping pong shows are to be avoided unless you want to be ripped off. A safer option is Suzy Wongs in Soi Cowboy - the only risk here is the fireeater! And don't speak to ANYONE here who offers you services be they shows, escorts, watches, quicker ways to get some place, tuk tuks or taxis.
