How To Fix A Computer

So my computer shut down and wouldn't turn on. I waited for 3 hours thinking maybe it needed to charge or something but that didn't work.

I was planning on taking it to a repair guy but thought I would unscrew everything like my Dad does. (At least, I think that's what he does.)

Anyway, I got into a right pickle and couldn't put it back together again. (Lol.)

I eventually did and after a couple of whacks … Ta-da … Problem solved.

(Lol.)

My laptop is having a funny turn too.

I tried to logon this morning and it says "the user profile service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded".

As someone technically challenged I can honestly say this Monday is going the way a lot of peoples Mondays go...

Run Malwarebytes. I had a similar issue at the office and it turned out to be a nasty virus that came in through our server.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Thanks Dan but I did that a while back this time last year before the new old thread dragger upper measolutions1 dragged this thread up. He was doing this yesterday too. This is from 2013.

Dam good stuff Malwarebytes though and thank you.

As I said yesterday dragging up threads where solutions are required but the said solutions have already been found is as Paul Myers would say about as pointless as arguing with a fern, which I suspect is what I'm doing by telling you this.

Weird Things happen with me sometimes.

2 days ago was working as normal when a blue screen flashed and started to write multiple white sentences and numbers and then the PC switched off instantly.

When I started it again, I was able to see the notification on the desktop screen saying "windows recovered from a unexpected shutdown".

This could be a nightmare for someone who isn't familiar with computer errors but I encounter blue screen errors all the time. most of them are connected to your memory, what happens actually is that your physical memory (RAM) get overlocked by application data and sometimes get confused which sector tracks to free up for the future application process. thus the PC gets no response and shuts down recording the problem log in a TXT file in the system.

Overall, you have a bad day

You can run antivirus and antispyware programs, but the sad fact is if you have found one virus on your computer, you probably have several.

I had an HP laptop once that would sometimes have problems booting up, for some reason taking the battery out & re-installing the battery worked.
