I have been experimenting with Crazy Talk, a program that allows you to easily animate a still picture of a person. The ramifications are only restricted by your imagination for marketing purposes.

here is one example I just did with non other than The Burger King himself (that dude always seemed a little too trippy for an innocent hamburger commercial)

#burger king

This is pretty neat but you can tell it's fake, of course. Also, you could very well get into legal trouble, couldn't you?

    Nonetheless, neat.

Oh, that IS trippy!!! I wonder, can you make the Burger King say, "Candy, little girl?"

Get into legal trouble? You bet. Burger King Corporation has spent millions developing that 'icon' and they'll certainly sick the legal dogs on you to protect their investment. I'd consider removing the video before they get wind of it. (legal dogs have a real good sense of smell, you know...they can smell money...)

But if you use your own photo, that would easily get around such issues, long as you don't use a photo of someone else to make fun of them and make them angry or embarrassed, I guess.

Uh...yes, that's what that means. I wouldn't, but you are free to do whatever you want to.

It's a little thing called trademark infringement or something. A lot of corporations frown on stuff like that.
