About what the subject line says. These are incredible pics.

That's fascinating imagery. No wonder pollen makes people sneeze with all those prickly things tickling your nose.

I wonder what my wee son would make of this. I took him out just the other day and he looked at leaves and pine-cones through a magnifying glass.

Love the space pics, too. This is a fascinating universe. Being able to photo it like we can now really brings home exactly how incredible it is.

The pic that spooked me more than anything ever was a space shot -- an eye nebula (and, incidentally, a Viscera Pisces, as well).

Fascinating to me that a fly's foot or spider skin seems to be a complex and balanced symmetrical design - and something like a human hair is a hot mess.:p

What did you expect? A fly, as ugly as it may seem, etc... Is STILL something so capable that an engineer would be PROUD to create something so capable. Seriously, they are TRYING! At least one person managed to get WINGS to work in a similar fashion and THAT was something worth bragging about! As for the human hair, it actually looked reasonable. The MESSY part is the SPLIT! The fly would probably look WORSE if the part were torn off.

A lovely picture of the Great Lakes, taken by Karen Nyberg from the Space Station. One fifth of the world's fresh water.
