Here is a photo that my son's grandmother took of him on a recent
trip to Stanley Park, Vancouver. The photo doesn't really show what
he looks like, I guess, but I like the effect.

Actually, that's a pretty great pic.

That is a kewl pic. Remember what it was like to be that small and all the animals around you seemed so huge? Imagine what it feels like from his perspective standing next to a goose that can almost look him in the eye. They are whole different animals when you are seeing them from the child's viewpoint. What a fun memory that pic just stirred up!

Yes - very cute boy and picture.

I was thinking the geese there look really small compared to ours. I am about 5 feet tall and they do come right up to my height.

I will never get the bright idea to share lunch with them again though I will tell you that. I had a great time until one came up behind me as I was walking away and slapped me on the back with his huge wing like to say 'thanks buddy'. He scared me to death.

I love geese - they crack me up and I look forward to them flying by and all honking as they go South and return each year...

    TB, he's a cutie!

@Patrician - those geese may look small, but they can and will attack people.

Sorry to spoil the party but Christmas is fast approaching. Ensure you've got your order in at the butcher's, folks.

Canadian geese are a tad smaller than our usual farm stock - but their temperament isn't much different. I know farmers that use them "watch" animals. They will sound the alarm whenever there's an intruder of any species around. As far as birds - they ALL have attitudes and while they might not be the same as a pitt or rottie on your heels when they're mad, they do tend to be able to inflict some pain.

The bears or the turkeys can have me, but arguing in the bar toilet's last year I noticed that my mate's got a weapon that would put a telegraph pole to shame, so I'll take your advice on the second option.

I had no idea that this thread would become so comical or I wouldn't have been holding my coffee and munching on spicy plantain chips. I just got a new computer, you know.

I'm the guy at the office that everyone shows their family photos to.
Everyone else complains about vacation picks and puts up
"overly proud parent" memes in their offices, and I'm the dumbass

My pics here are very everyday, not even qualifying as vacation pics. They're just in nearby public parks, not offering exotic scenery or suchlike. How cheap can I get, eh, lol. But, I also enjoy looking at photos people share of their vacations or families. Guess that makes two of us, lol.
