    Several years ago, on Halloween, of course, I put on a cheap, rubber, Dracula mask and a trench coat to greet the trick-or-treators.

    Everything was going good, getting a few snide remarks and laughs, until.....
    A little girl about 4 or 5 knocked on the door.
    I opened the door, her eyes got as big as saucers, her jaw dropped, and she ran back to her father waiting in the driveway.
    "Get him Daddy!"
    I tried to apologize but her father was pissed. He said " Yeah, well, you did what you wanted to do."

    I took the mask and trench coat off for the rest of the night.

      Well, as far as I'm concerned, the dad was in the wrong!

      If I had been her parent, I would have chuckled and took my daughter by the hand and and led her back up to you explaining that you were just in costume and that was part of the fun of Halloween.

      I'm all for little princesses as my dad called me his, but he didn't pit himself against the world in order to appease me. :rolleyes:

    Nuts - I LOVE Halloween but I'm not going to get to do much this year. Guess I'll just buy a bottle of asti and hang out with a few ghoul friends.
