That was kewl. I love that 3D street art, even though I can't figure out how it works at all.

It only works when you look from a very specific spot. Your brain will force you to see it in 3D. But from any different perspective, it will appear flat.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Yeah, that much I "get". I just can't figure out how. It is just incredible to me that artists can build that illusion. My sister is an artist and I find it fascinating. I can barely scribble my name legibly. I can work in 3D somewhat, but to put things on paper and make it look good? <extremesarcasm> Oh yeah, that's gonna happen to me in my lifetime. </extremesarcasm>

Translating eye to pencil is not an ability I was born with and my art teachers gave up on me longgggggggg ago.

I really like the woman with the coffee mug one.

Don't quite get the tall guy/short guy scene.

This calls for a profound quote from Horace Bartholomew Schmidt, legendary door-to-door salesman -- the Man in the Plaid Suit himself. "Take a look now to spare yourself years of torment from nagging curiosity." Anyway, yeah, that was cool.

(I wonder what new advertising optical illusions, special effects, and other wonders will develop through the use of 3D printers.)
