I'm talking about well-known music that you really love, but feel a little bit guilty listening to, and would be embarrassed if your friends found out.

You know it's crap, but hey - you like it!

I'm talking well known stuff - not some esoteric song that no-one's ever heard of.

Please don't post "Achy breaky heart" - that's a given.

All right, I confess - I like anything by Abba and Barry Manilow. So there!

    Interesting question, Peter.

    Unfortunately (for the OT gang) I don't have an interesting answer so I'll give you a boring answer. It's well-established in my circle that I have a wide range of musical tastes, and it's no surprise to anyone if I'm the only one in my circle who will like a particular song.

    And frankly, I'm pretty comfortable with being the only one to like a particular song, musician, or band. I don't need others to like what I like -- that's one of the advantages of growing older, you realize what other people think about you is their business, not yours.

      What Dennis said, and I'll just add this...

      My music tastes are very eclectic and I'm positive that if there was a program or app that purported to determine your personality type, intelligence or whatever, by the music you listen to, I'm sure I'd break it.

    I like the songs of Nickelback. I know my friends will hate me because they don't like the band because of the vocalist, the lyrics, etc. but I don't care. I just love them. Good thing they don't have an account here so my tiny secret will remain a secret forever. LOL.

    I'm a bit embarrassed that I like some Katy Perry songs.

    I saw Billy Ray Cyrus live. He did a slow, acoustic version
    of Achy Breaky. Nobody recognized it until the chorus.
    Actually a very good song up to that point.
