No more so than most other segments of society I would guess. Perhaps it just seems that way because this forum provides an easy way to discuss the topic.

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

Unless they kill you first, of course.

Online forums and conspiracy theorists are a perfect match.

People who post online tend to have strong beliefs and feelings.
Conspiracy theorists probably spend lots of time online. That's where they find the websites, forums, and videos to support their ideas, add to the mythos, and argue with opposing views.

I'm guessing most conspiracy theorists tend to be less social than most.

These are all guesses based on a limited exposure to CT.

Just like political junkies of all types, obsessive religious people...they feel a need to share their "knowledge"..and talk to like minded people. And the odds of finding five more like you at the corner bar are slim.

But on Forums? It's the norm. At least it seems that way to me.

I used to post regularly on a political forums in my teens, I encountered conspiracy theories but it was nothing beyond conventional marxist propaganda.

I don't think I ever saw as many conspiracy theories as in the IM world.

What conspiracy theory guy wants to talk to another conspiracy theory guy? Those people are nuts.

Or they're working, chatting, selling, buying, bored, drunk, lonely, angry, seeking information, looking for answers, dating, chasing, a member of a Superhero appreciation society, and a thousand more reasons that I just can't be asked to type out.

It doesn't necessarily mean they're catholics with powerful emotions. I bet most are atheists with a chunk of granite for a heart.

Could you please type them all out?

Stop being all inclusive. My narrow point of view won't tolerate your sass.
In my New World Order...you will be processed, and turned into Soylent Green to feed my loyal followers. And then we'll see who's the Boss!

That's me, that's Me! Atheist with a granite heart. In fact, in 2011 I won the "Granite Heart" award at the Nation Atheist And Devil Worshiper Caucus.

A lot of people don't realize that 98% of Atheists are also Devil Worshipers. You, above all, should know that.

Narcissism has never been a trait of this particular devil.

I like a good conspiracy theory myself, and if I had to be objective, I'd have to agree with Claude.

That just proves you're in on the secret plot for Claude to take over the world, starting with the Warrior Forum. You're one of them!

(I only learned of the devious plan from a guy who knows a guy who accidentally overheard a private conversation while using a parabolic microphone aimed in a window at a secret paramilitary complex.)

I watched a show today, and it said that a person in an observation building had a CLEAR view of the fence behind the grassy knoll, and he said to the police that he saw AT LEAST 2 people there and saw a flash and smoke that attracted him. ALSO, apparently people were walking towards the grassy knoll afterwards, and NOT the depository building! They went to the observation building only 300 feet away, and proved that he could EASILY have seen the smoke, etc.... It was ALSO easy to shoot a car like kennedy's going at that speed. Alas,6 months after the guys report, a vehicle pushed his car, going 70MPH into a post, and he died. He was also CREMATED, which apparently was rare back then.(3% then, versus 40% now).

As for OSWALD? The BUILDING has a plaque saying allegedly, it is hard to shoot from there, and he was seen and caught in a cafeteria on the 2nd floor. BTW supposedly, oswald was a bad shot! HOW did he get to the second floor? TWO people testified that they were on the stairs between the time of the shot, and when oswald was seen on the 2nd floor, and they never saw oswald! So LOGICALLY, oswald was on the first 2 floors the whole time.

In this day and age, HOW could anyone laugh at "conspiracy theorists" in general? It IS interesting that they DISCOUNTED a conspiracy theory given by a senator, though it proved TRUE, and used the GIST of THAT to further convict OSWALD! So do you believe it or not? This isn't a yes/no question because if you believe the first is wrong, you must then have doubts about the second, and oswalds complicity comes in doubt! The first is commonly called a "conspiracy theory", and many consider the second "fact". That is interesting because what the first predicted came to pass, and the second could be doubted and, it could be argued, never really proven.

HECK, one mark against him is supposed soviet leanings, and learning russian in 1959. INTERESTING! Two VERY famous people now had soviet leanings and studied russian in a span of years around 1959! Yet nobody seems to question THAT!

BTW I saw a video trying to DISPROVE the grassy knoll theory. It claimed to be SO perfect! It looked at the grainy picture of a person that looked like a shooter in the grassy knoll. It said it was an ILLUSION because the head didn't line up, with something else etc... Even back THEN I thought that was an IDIOTIC way to dismiss it. I mussed what if they were two DIFFERENT people, or one WAS an illusion? The witness said "at least 2", so their "PROOF" just went down the toilet. Does any of this PROVE oswald innocent? Well, I guess the two people could be lying. UNLIKELY! Does any prove it was in the grassy knoll? Well, it is suspicious to say the least. It DOES disprove the film I saw that claimed to dispell the grassy knoll theory, unless that guy somehow lied. UNLIKELY!
Of course, the smoke COULD have been a coincidental illusion or something.

    Steve
