Happy Memorial Day to everyone. I hope you are making the most of your day no matter what it is you choose to day on your day off, providing you have the day off. Since I looove working from home, I market every single day because I actually ENJOY it. No matter what you choose to do, enjoy your time to the fullest and always make sure you are doing what you love!! Do you market on your holidays and days off, or do you give yourself a chance to relax and re-energize? Enjoy your fantastic day and make it the best ever! Lori P. |

Matter of fact, I'm working right now. I do try to squeeze in as much work as I can before the rest of my family rolls out of bed. Been up since 6:47 this morning and going strong. I normally take a break during the late afternoon hours daily though, so I don't overload my brain circuits ![]() Tracy |

I do the minimum on holidays - like email, forum and contact maintenance. So I cant really be away from a connection for more than a couple days. However, during my holiday down-time I prefer to read or think about, or create new "big-picture" ideas for new websites, software features, partnerships, videos, ebooks etc. I will bring a few books with me and maybe CDs, but I don't take them with the idea of it being a priority - just if I get the opportunity and desire. |

You can't take a break from life. Work is my life, therefore I don't take breaks from work. Never. Ever... Well, sometimes but it has little to do with holidays.

Holiday's don't really mean much. I like to take breaks and recharge but it has nothing to do with if it is a holiday or not. I feel that without taking some breaks and re-energizing, it's just a waste of time. Our bodies are energy so by refocusing, I feel I am actually being more productive. Steve |

Hi Lori: Hope all is well. I'm working on a project today. One of the things when you are involved in being an author/writer/public-speaker is the importance to not let a calendar tell you when to do what. There are phases where I worked non-stop for months (First book on the Jefferson Airplane). To not be in an office is worth the sacrifice! To all those that served our nation in the past and are doing it today, THANK YOU!! Please be safe on the roads everyone! |

Working for yourself means that you can set your own schedule, as long as you aren't running a retail or physical type location. So holidays are when you decide to make them. I found out many years ago when I worked the night shift on weekends, it was really great as I could take care of my personal business while most folks were at work and I didn't have to fight the crowds so much. I have been retired for a few years, so now I can work when I please, which is most of the time. If I don't feel like it, then I can be lazy. But if I have something that I want to accomplish, who cares if it is a holiday, unless I need to go to the bank or something, I can take care of it. One of these days, when I am rich and famous, I will take four or five vacations a year, but until then I will do things that interest me, and one of those things is working. Because when you aren't punching a time clock, it isn't really work, it is what you want to do. So to answer the question, I work most of the days of the week. |
