BBC News - Eating nuts 'may prolong life'
  • Profile picture of the author whateverpedia
Interesting, but let's not forget that many people are allergic to nuts, and the barest traces in food can be fatal to these people.

Thankfully I'm not one of those, and regularly eat dried fruits and nuts for a snack.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

I've been eating all the nuts I can get my hands on to try and save their lives.

Me too. I make sure I get them in my belly before they can hurt anyone.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Yep - I'm one of those with severe nut allergies. Different degrees with different nuts...but can't touch any of them.

I can, and do, however, eat sunflower and pumpkin seeds - and flax and hemp seeds, so I'm not completely out of the loop on that one. They aren't the same, but they're close enough - very close.

You guys eating all the nuts - don't get the dust around on stuff - getting your hands accidentally into the dust can result in some real discomfort for allergics - especially if they get it on their hands and then into their eyes. Make sure you really are saving us and not just hiding the fact they are around so we get booby trapped.

I've got nasty allergies, but have mysteriously been spared of any allergies to nuts. Yes, it is truly scary for those affected. My nephew is so allergic to peanuts just breathing the air where people are eating peanuts can aversely affect him. We don't live in the same city, so I am under no such restrictions.

  • My husband and daughter fight over peanuts. There will be blood at home if I forget to buy a big jar of peanuts every weekend.

You would be nuts not to go nuts about nuts!!

Good article. There are definitely huge health benefits to eating dried fruits and different types of nuts.
