Hello to all Warriors!

I just wanted to say Hi and let you know how much I value the WF.

Like most people I have been lurking on the forum for a few years before actually signing up.

A little about me...

I have been writing poetry since the age of 9. My true passionate in life comes from the words I pour upon a page. I am the mother of 2 two children and I am married to my high school sweetheart. I have lived in Southern Ohio my whole life and enjoy being a country girl.

In 2013, I decided dreams are only good if you make them come true, so I ventured out into the world of freelance writing and selling my own Kindle books. I have built a list of clients and I am finding it difficult to maintain my 9-5 job! My hopes are to become a full-time writer within the next year.

I believe that if you do what you love for a living, you never have to work a day in your life!

None of this would not be possible without the information I have gained on the WF.

I look forward making some new friends on the forum.

    When you feel ready, you should post one or two of your poems. The OT forum is a good audience for all things cultural. Sometimes we even pretend to understand.

      I am
      I am but a poem with no words
      So sad and lonely
      So unheard.
      I am but a candle with no flame
      So lifeless
      So unsure
      I live my life in shame
      I am but a mirror on the wall
      So fragile
      Just waiting to fall

      Like a retched curse

          Old one I revamped and my favorite. It describes how I felt throughout my life. I've come along way! People go through life so ignored and it's those who slip away!

    I find the folks here to be intelligent, witty, friendly, and mentally dexterous. For a venue with a primary objective as crass as making money , it is surprising how much nicer and less petty folks here are, compared to, say, screenwriters.

      I am glad to hear that! I really watched the forms before joining. My passion for writing is not something I am willing to compromise!
