Anybody here a PS3 fan? (Lessons on video game marketing)

Hey everyone,

So if you're a PS3 fan....are you getting INFAMOUS tomorrow?

I'm so pumped for this game!

As I said in my post - The Secrets Of Video Game Marketing (And Some Great Marketing Tips For YOU) | Control Beating Copy (sorry to plug, but it's relevant) - these video games do an absolutely AWESOME job at product launches.

In my opinion, they're 10x smarter than ANY product launch I've ever seen online. I'm not trying to downplay any of the guys putting on product launches online b/c they're brilliant...but when these guys do launches of new games coming out, I get so excited it's ridiculous.

They seriously get me hooked!

Anybody else get like that? Have you ever noticed any of the marketing tactics they used when promoting the game?

Take lessons!

    I'm currently playing through the demo of Infamous and love it so far. Very cool and unique premise. I tend to only buy games that have unlimited replay value, so I'll wait to see how it stands the test of time before picking it up.

    Nice! I'm leaving in about 90 minutes to pick it up from a local EB Games (they had the Gigawatt blades and beta demo of Uncharted 2 so I got it from there)

    Yea I played that demo about 7x...haha. The most I've ever played a demo before was 2x, even for Uncharted which was my favorite game so far (well, tied with COD 4).

    I can't wait though!

    These games are like addicting for me, lol. I'm still a little kid inside

    By the way, one of the things I do to make it not totally worthless is I bring my laptop next to me and listen to marketing stuff while playing PS3. That way at least I'm getting a bit of education.

      Glad to see other video game players in here. I'm currently playing Street Fighter 4. Didn't know infamous had a demo, I have to check it out. Looks really good

        I took a 1/2 day off yesterday to play it since I've been working my tail off lately and I have to say - it's one of the best games I've ever played!
