Default Did you read Tiff Dow's e-mail?

I am one of many warriors on Tiff Dow's list. She sent an e-mail to her list this morning that said:

Quote:
Emergency Forces Me to Change My Business

Boy what a week I've had! I had to abandon my business because my
little girl (age 4) started having heart problems. Spent 4 days in
the hospital and we're still left with no answers. All I could do
was log into my email from the pediatric cardio playroom and turn
on my vacation reply to let customers know.

We're back home now, but have tons of doctor's visits lined up this
week to search for answers. This led me to think about two things:

1.) I need an emergency plan for my business. Four days of
unanswered emails is overwhelming to come home to - what if it'd
been longer? I know I could walk my husband through it over the
phone, but I'd worry.

2.) I need to start setting up many more passive income streams
based on affiliate products - something that would just make me money
on an on-going basis. Right this second, while dealing with
this family health emergency, I don't have time to work on my own
info products - I'm dealing with customers and clients only. I know it was
really nice to see PayPal income daily from my PLR Mini Mart - another
source of passive income, but I charge so little for PLR that I need
to up the ante with affiliate promotions that pay more.

As for #1, I think it's important to have an IM buddy you trust who
can log in and handle things for you while you're gone if it
becomes indefinite (even if it's for pay). They need to take care
of dire emergencies only - like if a customer didn't get a download
or your site got hacked or something.

With #2, I started thinking about setting up affiliate promotions
outside of the IM niche. I do this a bit but mostly with tangible
items via Amazon. I'd like to make higher commission with info
products.

I decided I'd work on this and do it on my blog, so you can follow
along on what I do. I am going to start promoting Travis Sago's
Magic of Making Up for 3 reasons. It's the pre-qualifier I use
before I promote anyone's stuff.

Read about it here:

Affiliate Product Promotion Case Study

Have a great day!

Tiff
Tiff,

I hope your little one is OK, my prayers will be with you and your family.

Everone else,

This e-mail made me take a hard look at my business. I too need to focus my efforts on things that will generate more passive income for my family. What about you? Are you trading time for money?

I think about this sort of thing all the time. I do need to do more about it though.

I hope everything works out for your little one Tiffany.

Wow i missed this in my inbox..(I"m on too many lists lol)

Tiffany,
Hope you and your daughter get to the bottom of the problem and her health gets better and everything works out.
(sidenote- I watched a documentary last night about sleep deprivation. Scientists have linked lack of sleep and sleep apnea with heart problems, amongst others. A woman didn't know she was getting sleep deprived, the tiredness just crept up on her until she was running out breath walking down driveway. It turned out she had an enlarged heart at 8% capacity. normal range is 55%+. Once she started getting good sleep her heart problem disappeared.-of course they said the fact it reversed was rare. A scientist also stated that kids can be misdiagnosed with adhd when its just sleep deprivation. It's amazing the amount of health problems that creep in with lack of sleep. I'm not saying your daughter would have sleep apnea. It just might be worth looking into problems that could cause sleep deprivation, which could be cuasing heart problem.)

Wordpress Install service. PM me for rates and packages or what you need and we can work something out.
