Shows you should not judge a book by its cover.

I grew up around a lot of biker clubs. They are tough and pretty freaking rowdy - but they are people I trust to tell what they think and stand up for rights. I've never been afraid of a biker. I am often afraid of cops. go figure.

This is not a biker gang as is commonly understood. The organisation (at least nominally) forbids criminal associations.

No and what their doing isn't commonly understood.
Truth is it doesn't matter what club a biker belongs to or if they belong to one at all. The vast majority are very protective of children. Look at all the Toys for Tots Runs that go on around the nation with members of 1% clubs.
The local H.A. chapter holds one here every year as do many other chapters.

Yes. But then so are the vast majority of people.

True, but you were insinuating that this group wasn't your normal "biker gang". I was just pointing out that you don't commonly understand bikers or their clubs.

I know a lot of 'bikers' and for the most part, they prefer to be called riders.
Nevertheless, I don't know about the rest of the country, but I come from SW Ohio.
And every year there are about 2500 riders who sponser Poker runs that cover several hundred miles.
All the proceeds go to children's causes.
Cancer charities, Children's Hospital, Christmas dinners and/or presents for under privledged children.
Most of them are Vietnam Vets, and, although a little rough around edges, they have hearts of gold. (Not that you want to piss them off, however).

Anyone in their right mind is protective of kids. Unless they are total tw.ts, of course.
Even in prison, child molesters are the #1 target for ultra violence directed towards them by other inmates.

It's cool and respected to blow someones head off with a shotgun during an armed robbery, but don't touch the kids.

Not saying that all bikers are criminals or armed robbers, but a lot of the top dogs and presidents are not exactly what you would call model citizens.

It's like that in Britain with the "hard men". Bareknuckle fighters like Lenny McLean and the likes would spend all weekend smashing people's heads in and putting them in intensive care units, but you would always find photo shoots of them at some children hospital, parading around like a fu.king local hero.

A thug is a thug, no matter how many children in need he helps.
