Have you ever realized that you've been doing something the wrong way for your whole life?

I recently found out that the way I tie my shoes isn't the right way of doing it...I do an overhand knot with two bunny ears and it seems to work alright, but I guess that's not how normal people do it.

Anyone else ever realize that they do some trivial thing the complete wrong way?

Yep. I do lots of stuff the wrong way. The one that I really noticed was the way I mixed pie crust by chopping the shortning into the flour with a knife until the mix was like cornmeal. Didn't know why. Asked my mom once when I was 30 why it's not good enough to just mix it with a fork. She was stunned that I still did that and confessed it was just something she gave me to do when I was a kid so I'd stay out of her hair while she was cooking for guests. Once I found out I was doing it wrong, I gladly stopped though. When it involves something about which hand I use for what - even when I find out people think it's backwards, I still do it my way.

My dominant hand is my right but I eat and brush my teeth with my left. Friends and family question me when they see me doing it saying "I thought you were right handed". I am, but with certain things, I'm more comfortable doing them with my left.

I don't look at it as doing it wrong, we just do it a little different than others.

Yes. Most things in life if I'm honest.

Also, is wrong the opposite of what most people do? In which case yes, definitely most things in life.

I recently came to know there is no "a" used in the spelling of "Tomorrow". Till now I was writing it as "Tomarrow".

(And yes when I was in school, I corrected/misguided this spelling for many students even if they were writing it correct :-D)

I gently inhale a peanut into my left nostril, aim it, and then fire that sucker at someone across the room at high speed. Learned it from my uncle who learned it from his uncle, etc. The know-it-all Olympic class peanut blasters insist that the right way to do it is to suck it into the right nostril, but that feels weird to me.

I deal cards left handed when I am right handed. I don't think any of these things are wrong. People are allowed to do things their own way (except in the case of spelling and other things which have a definite right and wrong way to do.)

Yep, when I look in the mirror and see all the red "tight sock sort of lines" on my nose. God, those condoms do hurt. (Little) Miss Naughty never was the best teacher for biology/sexual education at school.
