The LG G Flex is causing a lot of buzz in the the mobile world due to it's flexes. It is believed that flexible phones is the next trend to arrive in this increasingly competitive market. But I personally believe that this is just another dumb idea. Just think of a single advantage that these flexible phone would have over our ordinary stiff ones.
I just wanna know if everyone thinks like me or there are people who actually think that flexible phones will become the next revolution in cell phones.
I would love to see some sarcastic comments.

I much prefer solid phones and a flexible neck. The signal is much clearer up there.

It applies to women as well. Even it it does appear outlandishly phallic at first glance.

And now, of course, that's all I see.

The LG G Flex is not a flexible phone. It's rigid just like any other phone. What distinguishes it from other phones is its curved screen and it's self-healing finish on the back. Flexible necks do exist though.

Ah, now I get it. When I read flexible, I was thinking maybe the phone doubled up as, say, a coffee machine on Wednesdays, and took the kids at weekends.

This phone is actually made to NOT be flexible! In the following review, they were ENCOURAGED to try, and it DIDN'T flex: LG G Flex - Smartphones - CNET Reviews The idea is that is is easier to hold and amplifies the visual surface, and the sound.

As for your BASE question? The base technology needed, for the PC board, was developed in the 70s! Last I heard, they were STILL working on the technology for LCDs. Other things either HAVEN'T been done(like the ARM CPU), or are REMEDIAL(like the keyboard). I STILL think the full application, like many kids have been imagining for 50+ years, is still DECADES away! Things like the jetsons may never happen with major products, and the terminator in terminator 3 is just a DREAM.
