Everything you think you know about how to pronounce "aweber" is wrong!...

I was just watching a video of a very well known + respected aussie marketer.
I sat in shock when I heard the way he pronounced "aweber."

I would pronounce it... "AY-web-er."
But he pronounces it... "ah-WEE-ber."

Doesn't really matter -- I just was a little shocked.
The guy is still a genius + puts out great, useful stuff!

Cheers.

Well, the owner pronounces it AY-web-er, and he coined the word. I think I'll go with him on that one.

Reminds me of people who pronounce "Ezine" as, "EE-ZYNE."

Should be "EE-ZEEN," cuz it's an electronic magaZEEEEEN, after all.

He was probably pronouncing it right but you couldn't tell.... Ya have to remember that Aussies are doing everything upside down so stuff comes out sounding funny.

My dad pronounces it ah-weber and reckons I'm wrong for saying ay-weber.

It's either neesh or nitch. Depends on where you're from.

The only people who pronounce it neetch are German existentialists.

I must have been tired when I read this last night because it went right over my head then. When saw it today it jumped right out at me. Clever.

Aweber do courtesy calls and they pronounce their business as "Ay-Webber".

"Niche" is Neeshe. That's a given for the sole fact it's closer to Quiche (which everyone loves) as opposed to an itch....

Hmmm, you have to remember that there are two Aussie classes in Australia.

The ones that still use English/Aussie accents!

And unfortunately the Steve Irwin ones, that make Americans think that Aussies are generally stupid, and wrestle crocodiles or Kangaroos, when we get the time!

Apart from hitting the occasional Kangaroo on the golf course, not true!

I read halfway through before I realized I've never said Aweber out loud and don't intend to...so don't care. So there.
