Prepare to have a very serious meltdown.

Sorry - it's not embedding, but it's worth the click.

The little fox was just rescued in an urgent state and given treatment. This is her
response to her rescuers.

I watched a show about life in the north part of Alaska. The woman lived alone in the middle of nowhere in the Arctic and had several foxes that had chosen to stay near her homestead. They were so playful with her and also served as a warning system as they would disappear if there was a predator or bad storm in the area.

That little guy is soooo cute!

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

I don't think that was Dawn immediately after being rescued...I think she'd already been there a while.

This is Dawn, one of the Nuneaton and Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary's 6 resident foxes that cannot be returned to the wild. The majority of animals we get in is injured wildlife that is aimed to be returned into the wild, however, Dawn was a young fox that was took into a dog rescue centre as the member of public that found her thought she was a dog! When they realised they bought her into us but it was too late, because she was too tame and this meant that she wouldn't be able to look after herself in the wild.
...having said that, that's a wild dog and some argue over here they can't be tamed. Dawn on the other hand proves them all wrong.

I used to do a milk round (delivering milk) years ago and I used to stop and put a bit of milk down for a small family of foxes that were always there. They were very tame though a bit wary. Incredibly though, the local cats would hang around with them and they all got a long fine. It was quite a site.

Richard - a lot of things tame that aren't "supposed" to. You either resonate with the animal or you don't. Animals have higher cognitive functions than given credit for. We just keep doling out our tax money to research on animal after animal just to find they think on a much higher level than we "knew" they did. Most of them know when they've been saved. Canines show gratitude and joy more overtly than about any other animal on earth - wild or tame. Watching that little guy wag its tail and hearing it coo was priceless to me.

Sal, I agree with everything you said, everything except the above bit. The fox, her name is Dawn.

I'm sure you've seen them but there are loads of similar video's of tame foxes on YT, I know, I spent ages watching them earlier. That video took about 2 hours out of my day. I thoroughly enjoyed it though, thank you. They have a tremendous ability to smile!

Kids can match the animals sometimes - I just saw the video below and it cracked me up.

LOL. That was cyooote, too. I need to stop watching the little foxes before I end up with a pet fox. I'm missing my dog something furious and am liable to bring home anything with fur if I don't keep myself in check.

Richard -- "little guy" is my term for any adorable little fuzzball. Nothing to do with gender.
