The background is symbolism - which anyone wanting to know about theoretical math theories probably understands the meaning, allusion, etc of the imagery.

You are right. though - it's harder than hell to read. I was trying to read it to see if I could pick up what he was trying to convey in the background imagery but it was driving my eyes batshyte.

What are you guys talking about?

It's beautiful because its functional. And second its dark. The problem with web designers is that they are in love with white. As a result, staring at your screen is like staring at a light bulb.

You know what's ugly, modern websites.Meaning: flash that eats bandwith and RAM like it was cnady. Animations that serve no purpose except to slow down browsing. Social medias plugins that do nothing but clog the information that's on the screen.

This by comparison is really streamlined.

How come you need a couple of gigs of RAM to load websites.It is crazy.

Can't agree with the "beautiful" part of your comment, but staring at a white screen being like staring at a light bulb struck a real chord with me. I've been having a lot of trouble with my eyes, and I'm convinced it's from staring into white for hours at a time on the computer.

I'm just sure that's at least part of my eye trouble. So sure that I'm writing an article for my newsletter about it, appropriately titled, Staring Into White.

As for the website in question, my first site probably didn't look a whole lot better, although it was likely much easier to read.

The Internet used to be full of websites that looked similar or much worse.

Ugly isn't confined just to websites though. Take a look at these ugly Christmas sweaters

Of course I AGREE with your assessment HERE! This looks like something a nearly blind, crazy, seizure ridden kid of 3 drew, though I HAVE seen similar stuff in the museum.

With regard to the site referred to in the first post, I must be looking at the wrong page! Is it bad by today's public HTML standards? YEP! Is the color choice and text font one I try to avoid? YEP! Is it gaudy or UGLY? I think that is going too far with the site the OP refers to. Of course the purse you display HERE is, I think, HIDEOUS! I am shocked such words are even the first ones that came to me, I use them so rarely I could probably count them on one hand. SERIOUSLY!

As for the insults I lobbed at you? They are typical insults some lob at assessments such as those you made here, and I am simply poking fun at how ludicrous they are!

BTW the two people in the second picture look like homeless people, and he is even taking the trash out, or is he getting it from the dumpster behind him? Don't tell me that is West and Kardashian. I first saw west when he interupted the host just as he was presenting taylor swift having won the award, etc.... Talk about LOW CLASS!!!!!!!! I don't care if he were a TRILLIONARE! That was a LOW CLASS thing to do. Frankly I am surprised ANY woman would want to go out with him. He is so unstable, etc....

Still recall Kim Kardashian et al suddenly appearing in tabloids. I searched to figure out what made them famous and couldn't discern why and still don't quite get how it happened. I don't actually have anything against them. I don't personally know them. I recall meeting celebrities who seemed nice in their public personna but turned out to be exceedingly unpleasant in person, so can it perhaps be the other way around? Nasty public personna, nice in person?

I can't speak about Kim, but Kanye IS bad in PRIVATE functions that are publicized! I mean interupting the presentation of an award like that is bad ANY way you slice it.

Apparently Kim is famous for NOTHING really. Her father had some fame with the O.J. Simpson case. Robert Kardashian - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kanye is some "Rap star" or some other, but famous for being a public nuisance. The Taylor Swift incident I mentioned wasn't the first OR the last!
