We all want the best for you! Best wishes to your family too. I had a neighbour who was diagnosed with epilepsy and admired him greatly - he lived life with enthusiasm and inspired many.

I am posting the results on my family website. anyone have epilepsy i'll tell you how it went.

I wish you the best of luck. There ARE several OUTCOMES!

1. Apparent success. I don't know how likely it is, but it is possible.
2. Partial success. The frequency, degree, or type, may change for the better. I think THIS is the most likely outcome.
3. Paralysis/nerve damage. Luckily, I think it is usually slight, but it happens.
4. death. Luckily I think it is less likely these days.

I hope you get a good outcome. I think I would just try to avoid doing things where a moments lapse could mean DANGER. That danger is ALWAYS there and a moments lapse could happen to ANYONE, and probably HAS. And the lapse could be one in judgement.

MOST people have this sort of an operation because the frequency is so great, they are large, or they greatly impair life. The fact that you can drive is telling. As I recall, legally, a number of states, in the US, won't let you drive if you have had a seizure in like 2 years.

Thanks everyone. I made it through without any complications. Horrible headachs but that was expected. About a month couch time for recovery. Posted the details on my website. Once I'm out of the hospital and have more energy I'll post more of the surgery.
