Any good resources on improving your voice?

Fairly recently I had a project which required me to record an interview with a client. It was just for me, not for broadcast, but I was certainly not happy with the way I sounded. I've been on a self improvement quest for a while now and my voice, not so much in person but when it's recorded, is something I'm still not happy with.

So, I was wondering if anyone had any good resources for improving your voice? Any tips about recording it?

I think if I can develop a good speaking voice I'll have yet another useful tool in my kit.

Thanks in advance.

I picked this up some years back. It might be helpful.

Might be worth looking into. It's free, by the way. Google it.
I've actually tried this before and it helped a little. Maybe I need to invest in a better mic as well.

What I have found to be most helpful is practice. Try speaking your piece with a variety of different tones, putting the emphasis on different words and using voice inflections on different words and/or phrases.

Record all and find what you like best.

These of course are the non-"technical" methods.
