This makes me chuckle...It seems that Colorado mile marker 420 on I-70 keeps getting stolen for some "strange" reason. To combat the constant theft of this sign, the state has replaced it with a 419.99 mile marker. LOL

Personally, if I were the type to steal road signs, I'd rather have have the 419.99 marker.

I had to think about this one for a minute.

Mile markers are what the rock and gem hunters use for directions of where to turn on the unmarked back roads.........so my first thought was "where is that at" .......trying to figure out what gemstones someone was trying to "hide". LOL.

I bet it's young'ns. The whole 420, 4/20 thing. I think April 20th was Hitler's birthday. And it's a special date for weird reasons related to that.

Googled "significance of 420" ... lots of references; drugs and various urban legend things.

      Kurt,
I wonder what the 420 reference is?
The "After School Specials" started around then, I believe.

      You remember those, right?
